COATING CONSIDERATIONS - FLOOR COATINGS
WHICH COATING SYSTEM IS FOR YOU.
What you should consider before selecting the coating system to be applied to your floor.
Before preparing your timber floor to apply the selected floor coating system, many clients compare the different coating options for their floor. Most will be considering the overall appearance, resistance to scratching, maintenance requirements and the overall cost of each system.
Moreton’s offers many standard and custom stain combinations to enhance grains or lighten or darken timber floors. Coating systems designed to give the floor a raw, unfinished appearance have become a popular choice with clients.
Blemishes, stains and other surface damage found during the restoration of an old floor often disappear during the sanding process. However, when the more persistent stains just won’t sand out we will guide you through a range of options and techniques to minimise the visiblilty to ensure a great result.
Our timber flooring tradesmen will review your requirements during your initial contact with Moreton’s. Considerations will be given to the type of traffic your timber flooring will be exposed to. Timber species and installation methods govern the type of stain and floor coating we can use on your floor.
